Calling All Artists…

Artsfest 3rd & Fairfax is seeking artists to exhibit/sell their work outdoors at the June 21st street fair! Artists must provide their own display and merchandising fixtures. We are also seeking artists who wish to be included in Gallery 94124’s inaugural show, “Expressions of San Francisco”, running from June 20th through July 19th. “Expressions of San Francisco” will feature 100 artists, each exhibiting one piece each. Maximum size is 20×24 and must be ready to hang.

Please email arts94124@gmail.com and indicate “Artsfest Vendor Application” or “Arts94124 Submission Form” in the subject line, or click on the above links to download these forms. Participating artists must live in San Francisco and must agree to all terms of both the exhibit and the Street Fair. Participation in either the exhibit or the street fair is an implicit acceptance of show and street fair terms. Outdoor exhibitors must carry their own insurance, or be prepared to sign a Release of Liability, indemnifying Arts 94124 against any claims regarding personal injury, theft, or damage to merchandise. Outdoor exhibitors with their own insurance should add Arts 94124 to their policies for the date of June 21st, 2008.

Arts 94124 Friday Fundraising Event

Friday night, May 30th, Javalencia Cafe is hosting a fundraiser for the emerging arts group, Arts 94124, beginning at 6:00 pm. Come by and take a sneak peek at the new community gallery at 3900B 3rd Street, and meet neighbors from Bayview and Hunters Point. There will be a raffle with artwork by Berkeley artist Otto Aguilar, live music, food and drinks, and an open-mike night!

Come meet your neighbors and help us celebrate the upcoming Artsfest 3rd & Fairfax, Saturday June 21st, from 12:00 to 6:00 pm, to accompany the Grand Opening of Gallery 94124!

Arts 94124’s Mission Statement

Arts 94124 is a grassroots organization formed by community residents to celebrate the longstanding tradition of art in San Francisco’s Bayview-Hunters Point district. Our mission is to inspire, strengthen and unify the community through art. The Arts 94124 gallery reflects our mission as the only community-run art gallery in the area. Through the establishment of this gallery and other initiatives, Arts 94124 will showcase the work of artists of all disciplines in an effort to enrich our community.
